About John Lawrenson

Professor Lawrenson is Professor of Clinical Visual Science at City, University of London. He trained as an optometrist at Aston University Birmingham and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Professor Lawrenson holds an MSc Evidence-based Healthcare (University of Oxford) and a PhD in Visual Science (City University). His primary research interests lie in the field of ophthalmic public health. He is an advocate for evidence-based practice and is an Editor for the Cochrane Eyes and Vision Review Group.
