I am a registered midwife currently undertaking a three-year consultant midwife traineeship with Health Education Wessex. I am undertaking a PhD on a part-time basis at the University of Southampton focussing on outpatient induction of labour. My professional background includes working in caseloading midwifery providing continuity of care to women living in deprived parts of the city, perinatal mental illness, safeguarding and complex medical problems - with intrapartum experiences at home, midwife-led birth centres and obstetric-led environments. I also have an interest in change management, quality improvement, human factors in healthcare and safety.
