Rachel Churchill is the joint Coordinating Editor of the Cochrane Common Mental Disorders Group (CCMD). CCMD is funded by the National Institute for Health Research and has a portfolio of Cochrane reviews that assess the effects (including harms) of treatments in the prevention and management of a range of mental health problems. She is a Professor in Evidence Synthesis in the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination, Mental Health Partnerships lead for the University of York, and a Knowledge Exchange Fellow for both Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys and Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trusts. An epidemiologist and mental health services researcher, she has worked on evidence synthesis and knowledge mobilisation of mental health research for more than 25 years. Her work is dedicated to improving healthcare decision-making with people experiencing mental health problems. Her research interests include evaluating the effectiveness and safety of a range of interventions for people with mental health problems.
